NEW DELHI: Oil India Ltd, India's second-largest government-owned research firm, features commissioned its very first 5 MW solar energy plant in Rajasthan.

OIL, with to date built just small solar powered energy plants for captive use, built and commissioned its very first grid connected 5 MW unit at town Raghwa in Ramgarh region of Rajasthan, the organization said in a statement released here.

OIL intends to expand this product by another 9 MW. Srivastava stated the plant ended up being finished within 118 days.
