India Largest solar power plant
Purchase of just one, 500 hectares of land the Rs 4000 crore task is close to completion and government companies are likely to invite tenders from designers by April. Their state government is installing the plant in a joint endeavor with solar technology Corporation of India.
The expected cost of power manufacturing is pegged at Rs 5 per/unit which will be lower than manufacturing expenses in virtually any solar project in the country, including the one at Neemuch in MP and Mehsana and Patan in Gujarat.
Speaking to TOI, additional main secretary for new and green power, SR Mohanty, stated, "We are planning to inaugurate the plant on August 15, 2016. The plant may be created in three sections of 250 MW each. Land purchase will be over by-end of month and over 90per cent land for the project is owned by government, " he said.
Acquisition for remaining 300 hectares of non-government land is continuing. "there aren't any hiccups as land is non-agricultural and barren, " stated Rewa district collector, Rahul Jain.Speaking to TOI, Mohanty said, "No clearance from air pollution control board is required the task. We have to signal a jv agreement between state-run PSU Urja Vikas Nigam and Solar Energy Corporation of India and a detailed project report will likely to be prepared. Initial reports are usually ready and we'll complete formalities by April and we will be in a posture to ask tenders."
Run laying transmission outlines is under method.
"local government will help designers obtain the task financed with effortless loans and small documents. World Bank gave its nod to fund 49% regarding the price at concessional prices. Developers which quote the lowest energy tariff will bag the project, " said Mohanty. And at the very least 20percent energy created from the solar power plant are going to be for Madhya Pradesh, he stated.
The plant has been setup in Gurh tehsil of Rewa region and can straddle five villages of Barseta.
